Flag Colors & Description

The French flag is made of three equal vertical bands of blue (hoist side), white, and red. The colors are known as the "Le drapeau tricolore" (French Tricolor). The flag, which serves as the official flag for all French dependent areas, dates back to 1790 and the French Revolution.
